Nightmare submissions

Having gone through the first few weeks of receiving submissions for my new LL, I've got to say that I can understand already why some LL's go Partner Only. What a load of dross is out there! Not all of course. I've received some great sites, not least from members of this board.
My first reaction when I got a site submitted was at first to be pathetically grateful and accept anything. I've toughened up now though - I don't want to end up with a site full of crappy, cheap links.

So I'm now rejecting a high percentage of my subs.
The main problems are so basic - people submitting a gallery, not a free site and no recips or just my recip on its own. I'm sure I've only scratched the surface of the crap out there. Any other LL got a nightmare submission story to share?
