I think it depends on the business model you're aiming for.
I see a lot of US based webmasters using warning pages. I also see a lot more sales on my warning pages.

Why wouldnt You want to have a warning page? You can use it as a pre sales tool, put a few ads on it, let people know that they are gonna see some nasty shit inside and put an exit link with some ppc none adult sponsor for those who wound up there by mistake, I am I have warning pages on 2 of my sites and not on my other 2 sites, the 2 with warning pages are doing best

Well, I see why You wouldn't want that particular warning page. There is nothing on it other than the warning, put a couple of small articles with a banner for something You are promoting, write a small piece about why You started the site, it doesn't have to be the truth (I wanna make money) You can write some crap about You loving this stuff and want to make Your site The place for the surfer to find what he is REALLY looking for. Use keywords in Your articles and up Your seo like that. If You actally DO love the stuff.... even better, You will be writing the truth and hence make a better sales pitch. I have made a few gay free sites, I am not gay so I don't really enjoy watching gay porn, those sites didn't sell too well, now I love anal sex, and my anal free sites sell great.

What do you hope to achieve by spending your time, and money, working on this site? What do you want?

Personally, I've made more money on warning pages for sites that have them then on any other page, even excluding "freesites" submitted to link lists. I tend to treat them as ad spaces to push paysites. I don't like to waste a paying customer by pushing them directly towards free porn listings when I can send them to a sponsor first.
I don't know of any hard rules that specify whether or not a site needs a warning page. I only know that, as a business model, warning pages have worked well for me. But other ways of doing business do work differently. ![]() Keep in mind, just because you have a warning page doesn't mean you're forced to have everyone link to that warning page exclusively.

I haven't done the math but it looks like 90% of my hits to sponsors come from my warning page. Isn't that the objective, to get the surfer to the sponsor? You're allowed up to three ads there, I use them.

On a free site, yes. But I believe cmentira is talking about adult sites in general, not submitted free sites.

I have to agree with most. I have always said that legally, a warning page may not help but it won't hurt either. And, it is a great place to put advertising.
