Petition to Greenguy and others who publish their stats.
These days partnership programs are a big part of this business. I think it would be awesome to see Greenguy's top 5 or 10 recurring programs each month. I realize that it would be difficult for him to show us his exact stats, but an idea of which recurring programs are doing well for him would be great.
So if you would like to see Greenguy do this, lets get his attention by posting here. He has always being more than willing to share helpful info. |

The logistics behind running proper stats for revshare programs is the main problem. While taking the top 5 or 10 is a good idea in theory, I'm signed up to so many that I'd have to run stats for all of them to find the top 10 or whatever, so if I did publish revshare stats, I'd almost have to do it for all of them.
I could just throw up ratios, but then I'd have to sort them by those that have cheap trials ($2.95/3 days) and those that just have straight monthly joins. But I don't think just posting ratios is worth it - if it was, I wouldn't bother posting the per click totals that I do in the PPS stats. So now you have to look at trying to figure out per click totals for the revshare programs and this is where the big problems start. Let's take Chop's program as an example (since he started this thread - LOL) Let's say in January I sent 5000 hits & got 10 signups @ $29.95 - my cut is 50% or $149.75 or $0.03/click - that in & of itself looks horrible. Let's assume that February was the same (5000 hits & 10 signups) and that 50% of the signups from January recurred - that'd be $224.63 - but how do I figure out the per click totals? To properly do it, I'd have to take the combined stats from Jan & Feb - 10000 clicks & $374.38 revenue to me for a total of $0.04/click. Now, let's remember that Chop's program opened in April 2004 - in order to properly determine my stats & assuming I was going to publish them today, I'd have to compile 11 months worth of data & it's not that time consuming - maybe 30 minutes. But let's multiply that total by the number of revshare programs that I belong to - I'd guess it's 200 - so 100 hours or 2 weeks of me doing nothing but compiling revshare stats. I don't have 2 weeks of free time ![]() This is why I don't publish revshare stats. |

Greenguy, thanks for considering it. I had read an earlier post from you stating your reason for not publishing revshare stats. What I had in mind was a simple list of your top revshare sponsors without the ratios computed.

A number for monthly recurrings might be handy. I'm busy building up some recurrings for a major movie site and although the per-click numbers stink I'm sure It'll pan out in the end.
Long-term revenue is what gets me wet (is that too graphic?) |

Chop - I think posting the results with just ratios & no per click data is useless, so me just posting a list of revshare sponsors without any data next to them to back up why they are ranked the way they are is not gonna benefit anyone.
If you really want a list of sponsors that have revshare all you have to do is click this link: http://www.greenguysboard.com/resour.../database.html ![]() |

I agree it is very hard to compare revshare companies. You might send one sponsor 5 sales a month rebilling 4 and another 50 sales a month only rebilling 25 so the 50 sales guy looks like a bad rebilling comparitively. So many factors.

Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone knew where to get some tang it would be you
|
I can't see the significant difference between ratios and $/click? Not that I use revshare a lot but it is still just two ways of saying the same thing - no?
