Which lcd tv would you recommend ?

I thought about buying a 32" lcd tv and I'm not sure which one would be the best option since there are so many to choose from

Any suggestions ?

Truthfully any HDTV as long as it's 1080p and not 1080i.

I have 3 different models bigger than 32" and I don't see any difference in picture quality. Of course they are all 1080i's.

I have a Mitsubishi 52" LCD and love it. Great picture and sound. And now that more HD channels are coming out, love it even more.

The Sony 40" has some great reviews. I was looking at that myself. I would imagine it's the same with the rest of that range.

Sharp Aquos is great too they say. Any good brand name at 1080p and you're set.

I have a HUGE sony in the living room but I'm looking for something for the RugDawg that he can have.. sooo it doesn't have to be the latest greatest..just something that he can hook up his Xbox360 to plus get to watch HD movies (we have the HD player for the xbox) but I don't want to spend a lot.

so is there a vast difference between the 1080p and 720p? He doesn't need theater..i'm really just looking at a 20-27" for his room.

and yes even tho I do work for CEA i'm still an electronic idiot.

I mean would it be a waste of money if i got him one that had 720p or 1080i??? Will that get him thru the next 5 years??? (high school and college??)

1080p Within a year or two, 1080i owners will be upgrading. The lines of resolution on an "i" show the odd lines first and then the even. The lines of resolution on a "p" show them at the same time. "I"nterlaced vs "P"rogressive scan.

I'm a big fan of Sony & if I was going to get a new HDTV they'd be the 1st brand I looked at.

I think Sony has lost a lot of its edge recently, I always used to reccomend Sony electronics but I have noticed a decline in quality over price in the last few years. there are a lot of companies out there now putting out high quality electronics (LCD screens included) for much better prices for equal if not better quality. I woud go to newegg.com and check out the reviews.

I kind of feel the same way. I used to only buy Sonys until last year when I bought my son a Samsung. It does have a better picture than my Sony. But, it being a dlp has to have something to do with that.

I have a 52" JVC DLP TV that I absolutely love the picture quality on. I thought it had a better picture than the Plasma and LCDs that I looked at, and it was almost half the price!

i always liked the toshiba, and I sure am not gonna upgrade to a 1080p unit just yet, I payed 3,100 for my 65" - i could kick myself in the ass for not waiting till they came down and got smaller, then they went to LCD smaller yet hehe

I heard a lot say there is not much difference in 1080i and 1080p picture wise...

all in all I do have a rocking ass home theater, sony surround reciever with a polk sub and the biggest MTX loud speakers for the front they made then, and the sat speakers to finish off the 5.1 surround system

I always was a sony man myself but am not crazy about there stuff anymore...

I remember jim when looking at the rear projection hdtv's then and the DLP's had the nicer picture then but price drove me away

you can get 2 tvs for the price of one sony

I see tv's sort of as disposable, they are getting so cheap and in 4 years you will probably buy another one. so get what ever is 1080p and is cheapest
