I know that blind links has been a topic on here many a time..but Id actually like an honest opionion..I was told by a reviewer that the gallery here has a blind link banner...my reply was that in no way is the banner a blind link as its a full size 150x300 banner and the destination is clearly seen in the status bar...Id really like to know what everyone thinks.

I'm guessing you mean the banner that I took a screen shot of.

It looks too much like a clickable pic especially with it grouped in with the thumbs.

I agree with Cleo, too much like a clickable thumb for where it's postioned on the page.

Sorry Jester but if that site was declined due to the banner Cleo posted, I would have declined it too for blind links. For me, it's the two little pics at the bottom of the banner (that wasn't in Cleo's screen shot) that makes it blind for me. They look like clickable thumbs.

I updated the screen shot after I posted because I realized that the two thumbs under it were actually part of the banner.

are you kidding me? The pics are clearly not remotely close to the same subject as the pic series, let alone they are bordered with black and teel...with that notion, then the header if it had a link in it would be considered a blink link as well? Isnt a BLIND link supposed to be sending someone someplace that they dont realize they are going? doesnt the status bar count for anything?

Thank you very much Lady D..I try and keep them as clean as posisble..with the exception of that little snaffu I appreciate the compliment.

Ramster, yeah another friend of mine who runs a TGP said the same thing..being its on the border of good or bad..most likely id be shitcanned for it..and move on to the next.

sounds good..and thats because the pics are not offset to where they are stand alone looking?

The first version is blind because the two bottom thumbs don't appear to be part of the banner. The second version works for me.

I often put some text over sponsor's banners using Photoshop that have thumbs like that saying something like click here.

Most TGPS get too many submits so they are looking for ANY reason to decline a gallery. It's not like they need your gallery so if there is anything borderline they'll decline it.

I usually stay away from banners on galleries and never ever use one that looks anywhere near a photo or thumb.

Most of the time the only graphics I use is a header (see example)
