Comedian George Carlin Dead at Age 71
A publicist for George Carlin says the legendary comedian has died of heart failure at a hospital in Santa Monica, Calif.
Jeff Abraham says Carlin went into St. John's Health Center on Sunday afternoon, complaining of chest pain. Carlin died at 5:55 p.m. PDT. He was 71. _______________ So few real ones left. RIP. |

All of my heroes are dying lately. George just played the Rose Theatre in Brampton a couple of months ago. That really sucks. R.I.P. George, you made me laugh a lot.

I remember seeing him for the fist time on The Tonight Show about 1970 or so, and hosting New Year's Rockin' Eve 1974.
He was a great one!

Oh Fuck!! the sad part for me is that last weekend he was at the Orleans which is like 3 blocks from me. Spud wanted to go see a movie i didn't want to see, so i said..maybe i'll go see Carlin while you are at the movies.
didn't happen..and now I'm kicking my own ass. One of the endearing things about him was he could go from the conductor on Thomas the Tank, to the Hippy Dippy Weatherman to the 7 words without even a blink. Forecast for tonight is DARK.  maybe they were channeling each other. |

I had one of his shows on my HDD for like a year... and never watched it. finally the hd crashed and now it's gone... will have to download some more and see how he is.
