Grape juice.
I could never understand why someone would take delicious juice from grapes, let it rot, and then drink it. |

Probably why I don't like drinking or especially wine.
My first drinking experience was drinking a gallon of Boone's Farm strawberry wine before 9th grade English class. This was the first year of forced bussing so they shipped all of us white kids off to a un-air conditioned school in the ghetto and it was over 110 degrees in the classroom and I just remember sweating really bad in the heat as the room started spinning. I puked all over the back of a black kid's head in front of me and got expelled from school for it. This caused a race riot in the school to break out the next day closing the school for over a week. |

Personally, I gravitate towards a protein infused wine.

At first I didn't know much about wine and it really annoyed me when I would buy up a bottle and it would be bad. So I did what I normally do when I want to get better at something, I start to read about. Now I get a magazine that highlights wines available in Canada (where I live) and it shows me what is good (and inexpensive) to drink. (So when it gets right down to it, I am a cheap bastard and I hate buying bad wine so I decided to adapt!)
I like reds from Chile and Argentina (Malbec esp). White and Reds (esp Shiraz) from Australia are good too. Despite be reasonably far north, Canada's Niagara region makes some great whites. With a good magazine that has tasting notes you can try to see if you can pick out the different flavours that the reviewer found. Start here: http://www.erobertparker.com/ http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Home/ http://www.wineaccess.ca/ (This is a Canadian magazine and it will indicate if a wine reviewed in available your province.) Here are a couple I am drinking now: Weinert 2003 Malbec Mendoza, Argentina C$18.95 (red) and Pratello Catulliano 2006 Lugana Italy C$15.95 (white). (We pay a lot of tax in Canada on alcohol so in the States you'd likely get this for 2/3 to 1/2 of the Canadian price. Ouch!) Last edited by ArtWilliams; 2008-07-21 at 09:46 AM.. |

Yeah, I went there the first couple of years when it was held at the Convention Centre. It was good because I could take public transit home. I think they then moved it to near the airport which doesn't work because then I'd need a driver or $50 for a cab. Oh well.

I was at one in Toronto about 20 years ago. I think it was at the convention center or some big in door place.

I Prefer a nice 2008 Bud Lite. I love how the Sweet bouquet and the wheat and barley caress my palate. AHH and the sound of the cork.
I mean the sound of the tab clicks to release that sweet "Damn I am going to get drunk and layed tonight" sound it makes. Damn I got to have one now!|duff| ![]() |

Every year for a friend's birthday I'd buy him a box of Twinkies and a bottle of 20/20. That was the start of what was always a long night.

Hahaha, too funny. Mad Dog and Boone's Farm takes me back to the wild years. Couple bottles of Boone's orange hurricane or some Mad Dog with a bag of weed and that shit was on back in the day.

Sorry Cleo. My 2nd choice for knee slapping humor was "Anything in a box!" but Boone's Farm won out for some stupid reason.

I like Bull's Blood, it's a fairly potent Hungarian red wine that's good but cheap. For white wine I like Ontario versions of Rhine wines.
