![]() I'm looking for suggestions for uncomplicated method of keeping track of which galleries sell better than others, which sponsors are paying off best overall, etc.
How do other tgp submitters keep track? Suggestions please |

We're suppose to keep track?
![]() Seriously, what I do is go in cycles. I will go with 3-5 sponsors over a period of time generally making the same amount of galleries and look at stats and sales and money earned and fade away from the weak 1 or 2 adding in a new site to the mix. Whenever I see something hot I go heavy on it of course like when a sponsor releases a new site. You really need to figure out your method. If you make 4-5 galleries for a site and see 1 sale then try something else. The deciding factor is are you getting clicks to the sponsor and are you doing it honestly. |

Thanks Ramster. Nice to know I'm not the only one who's been doing it that way.
I've been at this for almost 5 years, and thought maybe it was time I got a little more organized. Of course I've got my favourite sponsors, and try out new ones on a regular basis, but it always seems such a 'hit or miss' proposition. I'd assumed better record keeping might help. D'you think the kind of stats program GreenGuy uses might cut down on the time spent figuring things out, or would that be 'overkill' for someone with only about a dozen or so sponsors? |

Mizz B - I pretty much use RevStats to tell me what's been doing good over the last 3 months (or whatever time period you want) and then I build based on those stats.
With all the tracking things that sponsors are putting into their stats these days, you probably could do a very specific stats run based on galleries & whatnot, but I think the time involved might be a bit too much ![]() Look at what's been doing good for you & go from there ![]() |

I do like revstats and use it. Not for all my sponsors but for most. It is a good way to track hits and conversions nicely. It is also great to keep and eye out for the odd sale from sites I don't really promote anymore or from sites I only list on my link lists and tgps.

![]() I appreciate the input from you both.
Revstats sounds like it will save a lot of time accessing stats, plus having all that info in one place should give me a better idea what's what re my original query. Not too expensive, and I see there's a 14 day trial... so I think I'll go for it. Thanks a bunch! |
