Removing recips from recip tables...

Another Q for link list owners...

Say I have free sites that has 9 recips in a table and I submit those site to your LL and you approve them but I later find out that a LL or two either don't send me traffic or they never approve me...

Is it ok to edit the recip. table so that I replaced the dead recips or do some LL's not like any type of edit on pages that are submitted?

Word of advice...

Stop wasting time worrying about who lists you!!! So many people waste time losing sleep over if all the LL listed you. Take that time and make a new site, not searching through to see if someone listed you or not.

This is all predicated of course on the fact that you make sites that fit the rules so you're actuallyl be listed a high percentage of the time.

I for one make good sites and couldn't even come close to telling you what percentage of sites Richard's list of mine. I don't have time to go to his site and see how up to date he is. I know the site is good and if his reviewer's like it and they haven't seen the content it will get listed.

PS. Never remove a recip because someone isn't sending "much" traffic.

I would disagree with Ramster a little bit - worry about who lists you & who didn't, but worry the next time you submit & don't bother with reworking the old sites.

If you submit me 5 sites & I don't list them, then stop submitting to me

More Advice But It Should be done with caution

say after 2 or 3 months you still have dead recips and you know your not going to get listed with tommy or RR or Pr or others then i would say it is ok to drop a recip or two thats if you have time to do it and you dont have any better things to do because i have done it and came out good as a result..

and i know that having dead recips suck its a small small leak but you should really just go on to the next design

hell the first couple sites i done had 9 recips on it with 3 or 4 giving some traffic

and also a free site is just a 4 page sample site to get the surfer to the sponsor

it should not be a site to impress other webmasters how good you can make it look fancy with pretty shit on it and the more shit you do to it the more chance there is for mistakes keep it simple and you will get listed and have your index Kept light for fast loading

also on sponsor content i used a lot of it and got lucky) but you must use sence like watch when they give new - dont use a nich that is over used and use sponsor content or join a sponsor that only has the content or they always update it

My main concern is that I am just starting out and still trying to filter out good vs. poor quality LL's.

I got declined and even blacklisted because I listed some LL's w/ a few "no name" LL's (one's that I actually found at GG's list).

Had I known ahead of time which LL's are the big ones and which weren't, I would just group them according to quality (and alot of) traffic that they bring.

Of course keep on eye on your stats and if someone is not listing you stop submitting but do not go back and look for every site you submitted days after doing so. I see people submitting a site and spending the next few days looking to see if it got listed everywhere when they should be building another site.

All I'm trying to say is build and build and build to increase your biz.

In TGP, I redo my submit list all the time but not gallery by gallery.

One thing to watch out for is getting in the wrong path of thinking that just because one LL only sent 5 hits a day to an amateur site that they shouldnt be submitted to - they may be the top traffic list for toon sex and you wont know till you try - once you have a good 100 or so sites out there - then is a good time to really look at the overall traffic stats over a long period of time. Also while some sites will send you 50- 100 hits for the first week - it will then drop off to nothing, and the other LLs that were only sending you 5 hits a day will continue to do that for 2 years - kinda averages out. The other primary thing to think about is where the LL gets their traffic - is it SE, toplists, tgps or bookmarkers or some combo? This would make a big difference on your conversions in the long run (again - something to look at over 6mos to a year)

I know it gets said around here alot but Ill say it again - Dont get hung up on your counter spinning - numbers of traffic dont mean a thing without sales

I have a list right now of about 150 but I'm not too familiar w/ most as I am fairly new w/ free sites.

Ramster - thats the truth - I cant think of a single LL out there that would blacklist over that - that would be an immediate removal from my submit list (if I could find the damn thing)

I wouldnt worry too much about who has the heavier traffic or what not. Pick you a handful out and try them. Sometimes even the smaller ones wont send you as much traffic but the traffic quality might convert better. You sorta need to play around with it. To give you a list of heavy traffic ones would surely leave someone off the list who might be worthy. Everybody has their favorites. Just build build and build.
