You can't keep blaming yourself. Just blame yourself once, and move on

General Link Lists vs. Niche Link Lists
Is it just me or are there way more general link lists vs. niche specific link lists?
I'm guessing the more categories and pages, the more traffic (although not as targeted) and better SE results a general LL will get.

What MrMaryLou said.
The advantage to a niche link list is there is waaaaaaaaaaay less to compete with. If you submit a pornstar site to a pornstar link list then you will normally get much more exposure as compared to be listed on the new page of a general link list with 25 categories. The surfer may never find your site. Or the surfer will check it out even though they have no interest in pornstars for example because the Site Title looked cool. I want to live. I want to experience the universe, and I want to eat pie.

Conversely, if you submit to a niche link list, you have much more competition.
I think both niche and general link lists have their roles. From a submitter's point of view, the reason I don't take more advantage of the niche lists is pure laziness on my part. When I do bother, they send great traffic. |
