Submitting For Multiple People

What do Link List owners think about one person submitting free sites for multiple people? Let's say that I wanted to submit free sites for me and free sites for Joe.

When I submit for Joe I'd always use his domains, his domains and his email address but the IP addess would be mine. Would multiple sites from 1 IP get me banned?

Of course I'm assuming that submissions are quality.

Most likely they would get banned SirMoby. This question as been asked many times and the normal answer that I usally see is that it is not accepted. Some LL scripts wont even allow it. So your best bet IMO is to only submit your own sites.

1 person submits with the 1 nickname and 1 email address is the general rule for most LL's. I don't think there will be many that will allow the multi submit thing.

Does that mean that the scripts you use check for the IP address of the submitter and ban them if 2 submissions come in on the same day? I wasn't aware of any link list script that did this.

It's common practice in the TGP world to allow this and TGPs are usually far more strict then free site owners. The basic concept is that if I'm on vacation or in the hosipital or for some reason I can't submit, then Joe can submit free sites for me and still submit his own.

I didn't notice any mention of this not being allowed in the rules ate either of your sites.

Link Admin used by Greenguy and others has a feature to only allow 1 submit per IP per 24 hours. There's no way to get around it without turning it off which isn't going to happen.

I allow more than 1 submit per day and if someone was going to do that fine if they let me know ahead of time and I trust them.

SirMoby - most of the LL owners do look for the dupe IPs in one way or another - some with the built in checker in Link Admin, others have their own special coded scripts as we have been hammered with "groups" that try to submit up to 30 or 40 sites per day by varying the IP subclass, names and domains.

That said, arrangements can also usually be made as Ramster mentioned for trusted WMs that are doing what it sounds like you want to do

If you take a look at some of the archives of the "other" boards out in the industry, there have been numerous people that advertise themselves as professional submitters to make a living off of doing others drudge work, the only problem being that they usually use autosubmitters and dont even attempt to follow other rules since they never read them

If I knew who and where they were coming from, I could work it with - but I would probably set up a special account to keep an eye on the stuff, to make it not turn into a free for all.

Most links sites get more submits than they are truly looking for each day, so most of us aren't in a rush to make it easier for more submits to come to the door.

Sounds like I would have to let all the link list owners know what was happening and then maybe even change my IP address during submits. Many link list owners know me, not all owners but many so maybe I could find a way without causing too much frustration.

SirMoby, be 100% up front. Changing your IP around and using multiple addresses and such would get you no end of trouble. Those are some of the things that make the alarm bells go off.

Contact each one up front, and make arrangements. If they say no, move on and look for other lists that will agree with you.

Raw Alex, don't get me wrong. I would tell everyone exactly the accounts I'm using and what I'm doing. The reason I would offer to change my IP address is so that the site owners may not need to make any changes. Just an attempt to make life easier but not trying to slip past the fact.
