How much traffic can i expect from TheHun?

I got my first listing accepted at TheHun today. I am curious, should I be upgrading my bandwidth? I have 500 GB currently, should I go higher to be safe? How many pageviews do you think I can expect in one day from TheHun?

I figure about 10 MB per pageview, to be safe, so this would allot me 50,000 pageviews. I won't get that much I don't guess?

On the 23 I had a movie gallery Hun listing. I burned 120 gigs that day.

As you can see the traffic dies down pretty quickly by the second day.

I usually get around two Hun listing each month and I'm on a 2 terabyte a month hosting plan.

The Hun doesn't have traffic like he did a few years ago... but it's still a lot of traffic.

It still does pretty decent. For a free submit and the amount of time I put into it that's easy money. If I had more sites like his to submit to I'd be very happy.

Of course, the placement of your link will determine that. The higher you are listed the more traffic you will get.
I use campagnes on my galleries. Here is my last listing:

Date / Raw / Unique / Sales
02/16/2010 2143 2056 0
02/17/2010 626 590 0
02/18/2010 250 237 0

That gallery was listed near the bottom.

I have a gallery listed right now much higher and I've already doubled the traffic of this listing.

i noticed traffic was down but burned much more bw like 500+gigs on a vid gallery in 2 days and only got 1 sale. Compared to putting up tube clips where they pay the bw and i make much more sales and dont have to wait and can time what i push, i will keep the focus on tubes, but the hun is still kool i guess, nice wm board at least

After having run 5 galleries on the hun I have found that by running with mod_disk_cache and mod_deflate, I used only about 27% of my resources and about 50 GB bandwidth per gallery. My conversions sucked, but each time I make improvements and it is getting better. Thanks for all of the replies!

It will depend on the type of gallery - video or picture. Obviously the picture galleries will burn through less but even a video gallery listed you should be OK. It's a quick spike in traffic - then by day three is almost down to a normal pace.

You do get a lot for a day or two then it dies down. I've had two listings in the past couple weeks, one sent 32000 the other 16000, just depends on where you get placed.

Ok here are my results for anyone asking the same thing in the future.

My listings in the top 30 got an average of 120K pageviews over 3 days.

My listings past that point got on average 46K pageviews over 3 days.

I get about 5000 per gallery monthly from the monthly pages.

The first day I usually see about 75% of the traffic, second day about 15% and third day about 10%. After that, the traffic drops a lot. I got the bulk of the traffic in the first 5 hours of the listing showing.

I recommend using a dedicated server with mod_deflate and mod_disk_cache to anyone listing there often. Note, don't use mod_disk_cache on any site that uses mod_rewrite. I put my galleries in a subdomain to get around this and cache only that subdomain.

Actually if you are lucky enough to be linked in TheHun it can give you lots of traffic. TheHun is one of the popular site that delivers tons of traffic to your website.

Thehun.net is/was the biggest TGP online. (You submit Thumnail galleries to a TGP)

Well I have had several galleries get listed over there the last few months and the first day its listed a gallery can get upwards of 20000 hits and it drops off over the next few days!

Now the best way to get listed is look and see what he is listing and build to those standards....also its best not to add any recip not even his but if you add his recip and maybe a recip to a site your running that is good and you can get listed but the clean gallery wins out every time!
