Back To Work Monday (2015-01-05)
Good morning.
My wife is back to work today. My daughter, who's failing university, goes back tomorrow. I guess this is my start to what will be a very busy year. Why do I have no ambition? ![]() Did my submit for today and did a number of galleries yesterday so that's in check. I guess I will contact 2 mainstream clients who've been trying to get me and find out what they want. Later, I may attempt to get some exercise. Minus 20C with the wind chill here today. What a difference a day makes. So what's up with you? ![]() |

Sitting here waiting for the ibuprofen and aspirin to kick in. Spent part of yesterday planting all the plants that my neighbor was nice enough to give me. Don't think that there is a part of my body that isn't sore. On the plus side I weighed myself this morning and I've lost more weight.
Doing some work this morning and then going to the gym to try to work out some of this soreness. Plus I have a client near the gym that has a cash payment that I need to pickup. A couple of mainstream clients called me over the weekend so I also need to follow up on that today. |

Good Morning
![]() I'm feeling a bit better today, my wife...not so much. As we sat on the couch watching tv most of the day we fortunately came across a commercial for a comedy, musical mini series called Galavant which we both really enjoyed. If you like the trailer look for the animated theme song lyrics as it reminds me of Spamalot. Here is a trailer: |

Good afternoon,
Back to work after 2 weeks of attending 1 family party after another. I guess I have to be greatful for being able to go to so much parties. But in the end I was a bit fed up with all those christmas/new years dinners and stuff. Other than that all is about the same. Have a good day all! |

I just realized I put "15" instead of "05" in the thread title. It is not the middle of the month though that may be what I want.

The end of Christmas today!
First of all I got to take down the decorations this evening. (I know, that is the third time I've said that, but I'm working on the theory that if I keep posting it I'll eventually embarrass myself into actually doing the job!) Then, for my evening meal I got the last of the Christmas meat (a turkey is for life, not just for Christmas). I spent Christmas with my sister, and her husband is a serious carnivore (his meals would just be meat and potatoes/rice/pasta if he lived alone, but my sister forces him to eat green things too). For Christmas he goes overboard. I think he must drive round all the farms in the counties close to London yelling "Slaughter everything and hang it in my basement." So over Christmas we eat turkey, ham, beef, game pie, smoked salmon, trout, pickled herring, sausages, bacon, etc.... etc.... etc.... (Ironically my sister won't touch the meat or fish - she is a vegetarian.) And when you go home he gives you a carrier bag full of left over meat and pie. I have literally been eating it every day, both lunch and dinner, since Christmas. But tonight I just have one last, big thick piece of ham to polish off, then I'm done. I'll have it cold with potato salad, bean and rice salad and some of the chutney my father gave me for Christmas. Then Christmas will be over for anther year. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Time to go out and buy those bloody Easter eggs...... |
