This thread has given me the best laugh I’ve had since the last Green Guy and Jim Radio Show. I worked for a trade exchange 5 or so years ago and sat comfortably in the top salesman position. Then my boss asked for my advice on adding two gay men to the sales force to go after the gay market, I was against it, didn’t even want to be in the same room with any gay men. The Owner hired them my introduction to them was “ here’s Pat he’s our top salesman and a Homo Phob”. I wasn’t to worried about losing my position as top dog because there was no way in hell a fairy was going to beat me out in sales. The following year my income fully doubled, the company’s growth went up six times, I was second salesman all but a couple months and I added several gay men to my list of friends.
After my Homo Phobia wore off the two gay salesmen told me that I literally looked down at my hand after shacking there’s. I learned a sales term for the gay market “DINK’s” (Double Income No Kids) I also learned they make stiff drinks in gay bars. I was shit faced in a gay bar one night and this gay guy told me that he was such a good kisser that one kiss from him and I would want more, I kissed him twice to make sure and guess what? I didn’t want any more. Gay isn’t catchy, it doesn’t make you sick and there’s money to be made in the gay community.
