Glad I saw this warning! I was thinking of upgrading my feedwordpress driven site to 2.1 but now I'll wait a bit.
And maybe try autoblog, not tried that yet. I don't mind feeds making new categories. What I would like though is to be able to map different categories together -- I have multiple feeds and they use different terms for basically the same thing.
