America may be the wealthiest as a nation, but only 1% of the population represents that wealth. The rest of us are just working schmucks. As for holiday allowance, most jobs I've had pay you one week's pay for each week of vacation. The most vacation time I've had on any one job is three weeks, and I wasn't allowed to take that all at one time. I don't know what you think we earn per week, but that's not enough to do anything but continue paying one's bills.
