I don't think you're overdoing it at all. On the contrary I think you could do more.
 Your index page has no advertising at all. You're allowed 3 links, so use them. Also I would make the linked text a different color. Where it is part of a block of unlinked texts it sort of drowns. Make it stand out more. Other than that your site looks great. I have no problems with it.
