Well actually they sent it to my domain email which is not the same as my whois email... One thing to be very careful of if coming into these kind of cold-call linking arrangements is this; "we've put your link on this page" - go to their site and see if you can find this page from the root index... frequently it won't even be linked from any other part of their site... so they truly are getting something and giving nothing in return...
