I'm constantly forced to edit descriptions. IMO, descriptions need to reflect the content of the site, not just be advertising text like so many of them are. I try to correct them as little as possible, since I believe that writing good descriptions is one way a free site builder can give himself an edge over others, but the grammar has to be good.

I see a number of really bad english/grammer(worst than mine). Thing is, it is usually carries over on the site, the text and writing making little or no sense. It's hard enough getting surfers to click with well written text, I doubt these sites will make any money and soon dissappear. Most times those just get deleted.
One thing that bugs me, is when they put the description in the comments box also. ronnie |
