Is it ok to use a counter for my freesites?

I already use the raw access log with weblog lite and I get an overview of my traffic.
yet sexcounter has much more options and was recommended to me on another board for being very clean and trusted.the counter is even invisible and so it's not a traffic leak.

But I understand your point of having a script that I don't control and I won't add it to my freesites
