Its an American weekend tradition whereby the good folks of the Union asemble with friends, family or whomever and basically welcome in summer in style with fun, booze, sex and whatever else may occur.

By february, teenage pregnancy comes to fruition, and more often than naught, there are terrible traffic jams to contend with both going away and coming home on this weekend. Many northern americans get their first suntan of the year too. That's quite a memorable weekend, wouldn't you say?

Memorial Day came in to being shorty after the Civil War and was meant to be a time or rememberance for those who had fallen in battle and to remind us of the cost of war. It's not working.

It's a day to honor the memory of those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their country.

It's a day to remember all those that have lost thier lives in protecting the USA, fighting against communism and helping W and his buds take over the The Middle East for personal profit.

No matter what your morals or education tells you about the current war, the soldiers fighting it are doing thier duty and risking thier lives. If you see them this weekend say "Thanks" or something.
