MOvie Grabs - How to do them

Looking for tutorial if possible on how to grab stills from a .wmv file.

I really habe not the first clue any pointers on where to start reading would be very helpful.

get some good software that makes it really easy... I've heard good things about http://www.frame-shots.com/

Just discovered Movie Maker on me machine which will do the job - its only for a one off job, Im not ready for movies just yet - thanks for you help Kinky :-)

Yes, Movie Maker does a good job for me too. And it was free on my machine.

Since I need a frame grab from a movie clip only once every blue moon, I use the cheap and dirty screen capture method. The only "gotcha" is that you have to remember to turn off video hardware acceleration or all you get is a black box.

Aha.. so THAT's what causes that. I don't know how many times that has pissed me off.. go to paste a print screen in photoshop and you have nothing but a black box . I don't really do movies either but I do have Frame-Shots (aka SnatchIt) which is an excellent program.
