The camera can be set to fully manual. It is a true SLR so what I see is what I get. Interchangeably lenses. Things that I don't like about it.
No mechanical shutter release socket so you have to buy an expensive remote control instead of just a cable release. Also no PC socket so you have to buy an expensive hot shoe adapter for using it with studio strobes. Both of these things are minor and seems to be the way all the digitals are now.

Your camera is fine for doing eBay stuff.
