I'm not a fan of country music. Although I can respect and listen to older stuff like Johnny Cash. That shit they play on CMT is putrid.
the closest to country I get is The Band, and as far as I know that band was composed of guys from New York and Canadians. Oddly enough, they have a lot of songs about the south.
