Regarding descriptions: Like surfn said, if it's the LL's description, leave it alone. But if it actually appears on the freesite I wouldn't have any problem using it (if it was any good).
Regarding SE traffic: It's the best kind there is, people who actually type into their search bar what you have and they want. Without SE traffic I wouldn't have much. Regarding php/static pages: Most LL scripts worth their money have an option to make php pages appear static to the spiders.
