I think that surfers would like to reach the content faster and that one page with 20 pics is better for them than 2 pages with only 10 pics on each. I think that's better for webmaster too. Because this will make them stay longer on a page so there will more chances that surfers will read the ads. I'm sure that 90% of all surfers just have no time to read the ads on a main page, they just seek for those "gallery" links
