As for theft is theft I think there is a lot of grey you are ignoring in that statement. For example if the person who took your car without permission were your son? Best Friend? Spouse? Neighbour? FBI guy commandeering it to chase a terrorist? Another example, which one of these two people do you think you would like? 1. A devoted family man born poor who made good. He worked and indeed carried on for many years his fathers business. This man did a lot for his country, bringing it out of recession and from a situation where queing for food was the norm to being a modern state. He worked hard all his life, winning many awards and publishing some books which are still widely read today. He was kind to children and loved animals. 2. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth this man never did a days real work in a job any of us would recognise. He did badly at school regularly being punished for poor work and lack of effort. He regularly reneged on bills, one club exhibiting his unpaid bills still today! A chain smoker and a heavy drinker he despised children and once said that the only good use for animals was for hunting. The only pet he owned was a parrot he taught to swear loudly at anybody who passed. The parrot had the last laugh though - it out lived him! see bottom of post for who was who. Circumstances and how much information you have plus how it is presented will always change things. For example way back before the Internet was publically available there used to be a bulletin board system - hell still is. Just looked. Its called 'The Well' where Count Zero and his friendly hackers hung out. Somebody posted anonymously on there details straight out of Digitals internal manual on how to fake a mainframe login. DEC understandably went mad, the Wells computers got seized - fifteen people who had downloaded and redistributed the info got threatened with prosecution however it all got thrown out of court because there was no concievable way they could have known the text was copyright or even that the source was correct or from within DEC. Ok. 1 was Adolf Hitler.... 2 was Winston Churchill.... which one did you pick?

As for the car theft example, again, taking on the "I'm probably being an ass" role here...I was quite clear. I stated, if I take YOUR car...we don't know each other, will never meet, and we are strangers to each other. People who try to work around the legal limits look for loopholes in most any statement. Perhaps you missed your calling as an atty! ;-) At any rate, now in the three most major posts that I have paid attention to what you've had to say, we've added to the list of questionable practices se/traffic theft by way of spin off domains and once again, when called on it you come back with "LOL ...blah blah..." I guess I just don't see the humor in theft that you. Nor do I find your lackadaisical comments very reassuring that your intent is not to continue the same actions repeatedly. Again, just my opinion. Best of luck to you in what you do.
