We have a little snow ourselves...about a foot and a half to 2 feet. But, it is still snowing and will do so until noon. Nothing is open around here...all schools are closed and something I wonder about...we have something called "meals on wheels". Where they go out with hot meals to old people that don't eat if meals on wheels closes up. What happens now that they are closed for the day?

We had one year where myself and truck was commandeered by the village to plow the streets. I am waiting for that call again.

Jim: My son who's 13 and I do Meals-on-wheels 2 times a month on a Saturday. We have 3 regs that he has grown very attached to over the last 12 months.. it was our 2003 project. He's eager to sign up again. It takes about 6 hrs per month of our time but it really does bring something necessary to the person but gives back 1000% more to us, and the life lessons that are learned from them.

One of our ladies is this 72 yr old from Sweden. We never know if she's gonna be in her english speaking mode or speak to us in swedish to which my son replys to everything "Ya". Last month he actually went on line to learn a few swedish phrases to tell Nathalie, and when he stumbled through the pronouncation, her face glowed and off she rattled as if he knew exactly what she meant.

About 5-6 years ago I and my Hummer were commandeered by the local hospitals during a blizzard here.

GG, I don't watch no stinking reality shows or sports. However, Scifi channel is advertising their version of a reality show. It's load with freaks, so I might watch that.

That was some fucked up football yesterday. Plenty of blowouts. I thought the Bills were gonna pull that one out. Hey Jesse Palmer didn't play too bad. Timing off and he needs to learn to move out of the pocket after a few seconds, but overall not bad for him since he's been sitting on the sidelines for 3 years.

Weekend was fine, but not enough snow over the ice on the lake, so we essentially had an 8 mile long ice rink. (how long would a fast break take on that.. LOL)

Only took one pic, of sleds. I'll wait until this weekend to see if we can actually go someplace on them and try and get some nice shots. It's snowing here right now, 2 inches expected. Nothing to write home about, but should help out some of the trails.
