ST. PAUL, Minn. - A 3-year-old boy shot his mother in the knee with a 9mm handgun he had found under a couch cushion over the weekend...

It was the second time the boy had handled the gun on Sunday. The mother had taken the gun away from the child and removed the bullets — apparently overlooking one in the chamber — and put the weapon back on the couch.

They should start making IQ tests as a mandatory requirement for gun ownership. I'm just saying, don't make the laws harder, just remove the stupid people from the mix.

That sucks...
The one thing the Republicans and I agree on is that every American has the right to have a gun. Crap like this doesn't help.

I agree with you Jim but I also feel that gun owners need to accept more responsibility for the guns they purchase. That includes crimes committed with guns that were stolen because they were not locked up properly.

We need more guns. If the mom was properly armed then she could have defended herself against her attacking child.
