Question about Exit link

I'd just like to go on record that I prefer exit links, that I've used them on all the sites that I've made in the past & that an "enter" link without an "exit" link is like a room with one door that's labled "ENTRTANCE ONLY - NO EXIT"

Exit links had some value in the 90's when it helped Yahoo to find and list your site. But that day is long gone and why have a link to anything which may cost you a listing? The purpose of the exit is suppose to be to let minors and those offended by adult materials a way off the site. Well both of those groups are a lot smarter than you give them credit for because they do know how to click back or home buttons.

Yahoo? Huh? The concept of an exit link did not come about because of Yahoo.

It's a warning page - wanring pages have always had "enter" and "exit" links.

I am one of the former anti-exit people, but my feelings changed on that after doing some thinking. There is one very solid reason to have an exit link to the right site, but due to the fact that I'm dink, I'm not saying any more. I still think direct to sponsor exit links are silly though. Build your own non-porn exit page site if you don't want to exit to a SE.

Nope - still very much a dink. I didn't say where I think they SHOULD link to. I just gave an example what they could do in absence of linking to where I'm not mentioning. Oddly, it's really rather obvious - I just like to make things seem mysterious. That way, I almost sound like I know something. Almost.
