If it is something that needs stuff typed into the document and sent back then a Doc is preferred as the editors for PDFs are IMO just annoying.

But if it is just FYI stuff then I'm .txt would be my choice but then putting the text in the email would be preferred anyway.

No, I am talking about important documents. Nothing that has to be sent back but they do have to be printed and kept. I think I am going to try sending both.
