Stupid Newbee and Wordpress

To add an image into a post, it's best to use the non-enhanced text editor to write your posts (go to Options> Writing and in "formatting" untick the "Use the visual rich editor by default").

So the plain text editor gives you the option to put in an < img > tag. I have a special folder on my blog directory where I put my pics, and I link my images to that. That way you can put in nice big sample photos and then link to the gallery from that.

I am fairly new to this whole blogging thing too, but have had good results. A little effort will pay off in the long run.
If you use the built in tools found in a standard build wordpress installation you will be able to achieve the results that you are looking for. Play around with it for a while- you will be surprised with yourself.
