As a recovering catholic I have witnessed many a friend who go to church every Sunday but yet cheat on their wives, over indulge in drugs and alcohol and claim that I will go to hell for giving up on the church. And they wonder why I do not partake in one of richest businesses in the world called church!!! Brainwashing HYPOCRITES!!

religious fools are the biggest hipocrites in the world and their efforts to do away with everything that isn't religiously moral is just making things worse than ever... sacrifice ALL of your natural instincts for someone that got nailed to a cross a long time ago modern religion just masks the true individual... just about every animal alive is "addicted" to sex.... it is the whole reason why we are here, to further our species and survive...

Thank you its been a hard battle that I continue to deal with one day at a time like my buddy growing up who became an alcoholic and chemical dependant at 17. He is still sober to this day.

The first instance that church is just business happened when I was 9, though I did not understand that until much later. Went to private school at that time and received this little booklet where you were to put a dime in a slot every day for a month and give back to the nuns. This was given out to all the students, roughly 1000. No big deal, but it said if you can give more God will love you more! I questioned my Mom because Sunday school said he loves everyone equally. I remember my Mom taking it and storming out to my Dad stating that was it. All I know was next year I went to public school and have been a heathen ever since.

Even with that those early years still play on the mind from time to time. Which drives me a little

same here, I had my child size envelope I had to fill from my piggybank when I was a kid now the little lutheran church i was dragged to is the most expensive peice of property around here for miles, built on prime real estate into the side of a mountain with a parking lot for thousands more money giving suckers can park

The catholic church up until a few years back was the single largest holder of real estate in the business world. What business is now along side of them? McDonalds

Ray Croc the founder, did not build a hamburger chain, he used the churchs method and built one of the largest real estate holdings. Every one of those franchises sits on land that the corporation owns paid for by the franchisee. All the busiest corners in every city, town, state and country. Just like the church.
