UW is absolutely right...it's sure death to a link site to close submits for a prolonged period of time. Or at the very least, it'll put the site into a coma for a long while after submissions reopen.

Also, some sites are well worth waiting for the listing. It's a nice fresh infusion of traffic months (to a more than a year at one good site I know)...but it sure is nice to see that traffic spike on a long forgotten free site
