Unfortunately this is one of those issues where people are totally irrational -- it has nothing to do with caring about animals or even people, and has everything to do with a hysterical fear of sex.

Whatever, though. I realize this is one of those issues where people can't have a logical argument because they're so afraid everyone will label them sickos and perverts . . . and retards . . . if they use their brains for half a second. If no animal is hurt and the only humans that are hurt consented to it, then it's a victimless crime.

By the by, I do think the first guy to get in trouble here in WA since the law was passed TOTALLY deserved it; he was fucking a dog and totally hurting it. Of course, the animal CRUELTY laws should be sufficient to prosecute these kinds of assholes, though.
