The first time I tried I did use the swipe card number, and obviously that doesn't work. So I tried again with the virtual visa number, after a bit of research at the epassporte site, hoping that was the solution, but that failed too. I tried several times. As far as I can tell, amazon doesn't ask for the cvv2. This is the important part of the decline message amazon sent. --- Greetings from Amazon.com, The credit card portion of your payment for the above transaction could not be completed. An issuing bank will often decline an attempt to charge a credit card if the name, expiration date, or ZIP Code you entered at Amazon.com does not exactly match the bank's information. We must charge your credit card for the portion of this transaction that is not covered by your gift certificate balance. --- I just went to amazon and carefully re-entered the info they asked for, to try it one more time. When they decline me again, I'll email you with my epass ID to ask what might be causing this, because I'd definitely like to be able to use epass at amazon. Thanks. |
