Sorry - it's an ongoing joke around here with AVN & the uselessness of their shows.

You realize you can get a ticket to Vegas for less then $350 which is the cost of the badge in Miami right? I bet if you look into it enough, Vegas will be the cheaper show.

They have the Internet on computers, now?

Hmmm, I'm not laughing. But I might be a bit biased. I think any gathering of adult webmasters, and the industry in general has some value, somewhere. If, at even it's basest level, it says "here we are, openly discussing this thing you would have eliminated, if you could." |

However AVN has been bad in it's treatment of "webmasters". When shows first started and I was $1000-3000 a month I could afford to attend a show. Now webmasters making that cannot, it is just too expensive and I think that is where the beef comes in regarding AVN. Inflating badge costs from $100 to $250-300 doesn't help neither. |

I have been to Internext in Miami 04 and 05 and 06. I don't think I will make 07.
The Las Vegas XBiz show is mid-week, so hotel prices and airfares are low. It is going to be fuck awful hot for all of you that are not used to desert heat [its a dry heat!! but you cook turkey in dry heat -- 105 is still fucking hot] but I really like XBiz for its casual, business friendly atmosphere. And its low cost relative to other shows. |
