Well this comes as no surprise, the ip address of the email originates from..... the land of the crappy sponsor hosted free sites that most link list owners are bombarded with, the Russian Federation.
As for wegcash, well I've not heard anything since their initial email so its a case of wait and see with them. Urb - thanks for the info on the ip address
