This has been the week from fucking hell.

Started out with my tiolet not working correctly. I head on over to the hardware store, get a rebuild kit for the tiolet guts, and I figure not a big deal, just a little quick fix. I've bought this place back at the end of August and nothing major had gone wrong other than having to replace the thermostat and heating element on the electric water heater. So when I take the old parts out of the tiolet, its some kind of crazy odd ball part that doesnt match up with the new kit. I find out I have to take the whole tiolet apart and redo the whole damn thing. When I got a good look down there, the nuts and washers had pretty much rotted away to nothing, so I end up having to hacksaw the god damn tiolet apart. After lots of cussing and getting pissed, I get the tiolet put back together and turn the water back on (had to turn the whole water supply off since the fucking tiolet doesnt have its own shut off valve). The tiolet still doesnt work. I'm like WTF. Then I realize the cold water doesnt work in the bathtub, the cold water doesnt work on the washing machine, cold water in the kitchen is just a trickle. so I'm really like what the fuck is going on. Keep in mind I dont really know shit about plumbing, but I dont want to pay a plumber (too broke). My father-in-law knows quite a bit about this kind of stuff and he is stumped as well, has me try a bunch of different things, but he cant figure it out.

I then start researching online, and I finally figured it out. Seems the hard water buildup (lime and calcium) in the hot water heater ended up getting back washed into the cold water lines when I drained the hot water heater and put in the new heating element. So then the fun really began. Crawled underneat the place and started unhooking all the water lines trying to find the clog, couldnt find it. Then I start checking to see if its just the faucets that are clogged. Unhook the bathroom sink faucet, found a clog, then hooked it back up, only this time the fucker wouldnt shut off. So I do the same on the bathtub faucet, didnt find a clog, but the faucet was so ate up with hardwater that when I put it back together it wouldnt shut off either. Then I check the water line of the washer, the line is find, its just my washer is clogged with water heater nastiness.

So I go to the store and buy a couple gallons of CLR and new bathroom sink and bathtub faucets., I flush the whole system with CLR and the waching machine with CLR too. I dont get the cold water working 100%, but good enough to live with. I think drain the water heater again, and pour a gallon of CLR, and at the end of pouring the CLR in the water heater tank starts gushing like a valcanoe with foam from the CLR. While the CLR is sitting the water heater I rebuild the kitchen faucet since it still apprears it can still be salvaged and is a pretty nice faucet. After a couple hours I hook everything up, turn the water on, and lets the system flush the CLR out, and everything appears of be fixed. So far I worked from the time I wake up to the time I went to bed Wednesday and Thursday, keep in mind I dont know the first thing about plumbing, I'm doing everything with advice from my father in law and what I find on the net.

I go to bed at like 5am Thurday night/really Friday morning, after taking my first shower in 3 days after being covered in filth head to toe, quite proud of myself and thinking job well done. Then yesterday afternoon I get underneath the kitchen sink to get something to find that everything is soaking wet. I look, and the faucet I rebuilt was leaking all over the place. The faucet is one those those where the head pulls out and its leaking where the hose that attaches to the head is leaking (which really cant be fixed). I can only guess the only thing that was keeping it from leaking was the hard water build up and when I flushed the system with CLR it made it start leaking. I dont know, haha. So I just say fuck it, head into town and get a new kitchen faucet. So after replacing every fucking faucet in the place, flushing the water lines and water heater with CLR, with lots of cussing, bleeding, sweating, and crying, I finally have the water problem fixed, and oh yeah, the tiolet works again, haha.

Then I get online for the first time today and find my server fucked, everything that runs of php/mysql db's, and mod_rewrite is broken. So while I'm waiting for my support to get back to me on this issue, I thought I would share my lovely week.
