Merry Christmas Eve everyone.
I've been playing with my new early gift, a
Sapphire 512 video card I got cheap at New Egg. I was hoping it would solve the blue screen of death problems I've been getting lately, but no such luck. Still working on that. But wow does it make Oblivion playing a whole lot cooler, and doesn't choke my system when I try to run Poser anymore.
I have been getting 1x a day for about a week:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. After reading on a lot of boards, yesterday I went into msconfig and searched for startup stuff that might be conflicting. Found NVidia was loading up a driver for a graphic card I had 2 cards ago. I'm hoping that is the cause. Keeping fingers crossed, as it hasn't bluescreened since I shut that off. It started after I installed my new soundblaster card, but I have the latest drivers for it. If it keeps up, I'll buy a new sound card, maybe it is faulty.
