Yes, my system is clean.

No, I have not. I can possibly try in the morning.

Check your hosts file (do a search for it, it shoudl be in your windows directory somewhere) and make sure there isn't anything stupid in there.
I see 127.0.0.1 localhost in the hosts file in my windows/system32/drivers directory

Download the latest updates from Microsoft.
I've downloaded all the latest XP updates.

Clear your cache. Flush your dns cache on your PC.
Is that a simple release/renew through the ipconfig DOS command?

Possibly download and try a different browser.
I've tried Mozilla with all cookies enabled and javascript turned on full blast and I get the exact same error as a did when I used IE6. Can I download IE5 somewhere? Maybe that will solve the problem.

Here's another bump.

Is it possible my submit info isn't going through because my IP is banned? I'm using SBC DSL if that helps

Without your posting a full port sniff of your traffic it is all but impossible for any of us to maybe catch what the problem is.

You could try getting an AOL account for a month and see if you can submit while using AOL to connect. If you can then you know it is a problem with your ISP. If not then you know it is a problem with your PC setup.

I used to have AOL DSL with my current router/home network and had absolutely no problem using the script.

So, if it's a possible ISP problem - what's the remedy for that?

I'm at a loss to resolve my problem. Maybe I should change DSL modems. Actually, let me try that...

Hmm, I've tried two different DSL modems in addition to the one I've been using for the past year with no luck.

Ugh, this sucks.

Oh well, I'll keep trying

I don't see anyone else lining up with this problem, which suggests to me that your ISP or your computer has issues.

Changing DSL modems without changing service providers is pointless - a DSL modem does nothing that would filter traffic.

Are you using any of the following:

firewall
anti-virus
zone alarm type software
hardware DSL router
wireless hub

Does your DSL provider require you to:

connect using their software (programs installed on your PC)
use accelerator softare
install anything on your PC before using their service

Does your DSL provider:

filter out going mail requests
filter spam
filter, restrict, or otherwise have adult filters of any sort

Finally, do you have access to:

alternate DSL provider
dialup service
a wireless laptop and the ability to connect via a hotspot somewher else?

Your the only one with the problem so the problem is likely yours.... or your service providers.

Alex

Thanks, Alex!

I'm able to submit with my laptop using a hotspot down the street.

I've narrowed it down to my ISP since I was able to submit to GG's link list for a complete year when I had AOL DSL using the same router. My switch to SBC is what brought about my problems with site submissions.

I tried a different DSL modem since I ran out of ideas.

What should I say to my ISP when I contact tech support?

My best guess is that your ISP is blocking something like a port or referral info probable to make surfing safer for you or some logic like that.

Looks like it is time to change ISP.

Call your ISP:

"Hi there, I am Short Irish Guy, I am running mutiple porn websites and using your residential service to upload and maintain my business of porn websites. I have been attempting to my a submission to and adult porn link website, so that I can make money with my residential DSL service, but there seems to be something in your network blocking me from making money at home selling porn. Can you help me?"

Seriously, get a new ISP.

That's a good tip from Alex... don't make the mistake of telling your ISP that you are using the service for commerical purposes.. both major ISPs support staff here in AU are instructed to cease any help at that point and tell the customer they are supposed to be using the commercial service....
