I think at the very basic level you have to consider what your traffic is looking for, and what your knowledge can do to help make a sale. If you don't understand the motivation for a niche that you are trying to promote it will be an uphill battle.

So pick a niche that interests you, and then go find some sponsors. GG posts his stats on this board, some of the other members also post their stats on their sites. There is also a forum here to ask.

Once you have mastered one niche, then you can start branching out to other areas.
