Happened to me also. Ironically, I was turned down for two programs, first two turndowns ever after having promoted well over 300 proggies, in the same week. One was over my tax id, the program did not want to accept an employer id (corp tax id) but wanted a personal one - No Thanks.

I never got an answer from Shanes World even though I have some great traffic for them. When I finally looked at some of their tours, I decided not to pursue it as they look a little 2004ish.

I asked on a few boards if anyone was having sucess with them, and got zero repsonses, so it reinforced my decision not to pursue it.

For me, Tommy's post is my operative thinking.

On a related note, it amazes me how many people submit their SS# with an unencrypted webmaster application over plain http. IMO, it's as bad as submitting a CC# without an https connection.
