Most week days I walk a friend's dog, and I carry small dog treats to give him when I arrive and leave. Today I just missed a train so did a bit of grocery shopping while waiting for the next one, and bought the stuff for my evening meal. When I arrived the dog sniffed my bag and then refused the dog treat I offered him. He made it quite obvious that he did not want a silly little dog treat, he wanted the pork chop he could smell in my bag!
