Morning!

I know it's not all about me! But I get stuck on what to title these daily threads lol. So 1st one in here each morning, feel free to start the daily thread & make it all about you

Not too much to report on my end. After running the almost-step-son-in-law around for a couple hours yesterday, I worked on this & that & then started to watch the Islanders* vs Rangers game, but dozed off after the 1st period.

Today, I do have to pick the almost-step-son-in-law up from work at Noon, but other than that, WORKY WORK BUSY BEE



* Seeing as my beloved BuffaLOL Sabres are out of the playoffs, I've jumped on the NY Islanders bandwagon.

Good morning

I am waiting for someone to get back to me on an order I placed for software so I can get started with setting it up. Other than that, the usual.

I'm at about 85% this morning. Actually it's Foxy's server that is about 85% restored. Lucky for me and Foxy Colo latest backup was two days after I did the last update to Foxy's site, but I also do two different rsync backups to a local drive at my house each nights so I wasn't that worried.

Going for a night paddle tonight. It's been about a year since I've gone out with this group so really looking forward to it.

Arrogant do evil Google has removed the ability to view kmz overlays in Google maps. So now thousands or more sites that have links to View Tracks In Google Maps, like my personal blog, no longer work or have anyway to make them work. Google forums are full of very upset posts.

Probably going to the gym after I get my morning work done plus I need to go grocery shopping.

A bit bummed this morning because my best friend had to have her 13 year old daughter admitted to a behavioral health unit yesterday for suicidal ideation. She's a beautiful, intelligent, talented dancer with lots of friends, but depression doesn't give a shit who you are it seems.

Otherwise, I'm just sitting at work, not doing much at all.

Good Morning

I'm really F'ing sore from working on the house yesterday. Most of it was hand sanding window trim but the other stuff had me bending and going up and down a ladder. I've gotten so outta shape that everything is sore and feel like an old man. Guess I'm taking today off from that stuff.

Gotta back up my hard drive and then sit on the couch with the lap top while watching tv and icing my back.

The demolition business consumes most of my time since New Year. I think I might take a few days off next week. It's my oldest son's 4th Birthday then and he's been asking for weeks when I will take him to school. Sometimes it's the small things that are important to these little guys
Other than that there's not much news. (personal I mean, global is another thing).

Today, I am getting painting quotes for our current house. My contractor friend dropped by to go over the list of minor repairs and renovation that need to be done too. $$$ Made a list of furniture that we need to give away. That's my life for the next 30 days.

Be careful what you offer! Due to time differences I'm probably the first one here most mornings (for example, from your point of view I'm not here today, I'm typing this tomorrow). However I have been so totally pissed off with everything this week that if I had started the threads they would all have a subject along the Marvinesque lines of "Life...Don't Talk To Me About Life."
