Last time i was in Finland we turned up from a ferry to a campsite near a place called Vaasa

...said campsite was closed as the owner's daughter was getting married, a wedding we were promptly invited to and which included endless bottles of nasty schnaps of some sort, naked weirdness in saunas, playing chicken in speedboats, bicycling down a pier and directly into a lake and someone stumbling into a human-sized cake.

Hehehe.. sounds like a typical summer gathering in Finland. The nasty schnaps stuff was probably Koskenkorva. Pretty potent, nasty stuff. Vaasa isn't exactly close, but it is doable. Heck, nothing is really close to us. We live out in Hicksville. (The Husband says if you remember anything about the bottles he can tell you for sure.) The naked weirdness in the sauna is actually normal here. Nobody wears clothes in private saunas.

Thats all very good but being peer pressured into spanking the grooms naked mum with a weird old branch was a bit odd
