Morning!

My PC continued to just be slow & freeze yesterday, so I decided to revert to before the last update. Of course, that failed My only option was basically to reinstall Windows, so I started that before I went to bed. It looks to have kept all my files, but now I have to reinstall all the programs.

I am not in a good mood

I've mentioned here on the board multiple times you should use good back up software.
My personal favorite is Acronis
I love the fact that it can recover a single file, recover a program folder, or in Greenies case recover the whole system.

There have been multiple times through the years that I have overwritten an excel file that I had mistakenly overwritten by accidentally saving rather then saving as...no problem, find the original file in the backup tree and restore a copy as the software will restore it right where it was backed up from.
A program has corrupt files restore the originals from the day before.
Or in Greenguys case restore the whole system from the last good state.
Of course in that case, if there were any files you created since the backup you will lose those files (or changes) so if possible manually save those files you want to an usb or another drive first.

What I do is a full backup once a week, with incrementals each day until the next full backup.
