I must admit I am feeling a bit optimistic after reading that message from St. Kitts. I do have a substantial amount locked in the VV side of epassporte and do hope things get sorted soon.

Porn Income is almost non-existent these days since so many sponsors have flown the coop, closed down without notice, not to mention the ones that still exist that use many tricks to siphon your money and shave you smooth like a babies bottom! (Over the years, this money does add up substantially and you feel like you are being kicked over and over)

Its been a good run for the last 14 years but I dont foresee it lasting too much longer for alot of us in the Free Site and Linklist business. I wish I have adapted and changed with the times - instead I just sat there with the same business model as I started out with 14 years ago

It is never too late to change. Look at all of us doing blogs / twitter / youtube / facebook etc that we never would have done a year ago.

And don't write off the old ways either. Just by upping my submissions this month and doing free sites along with TGP galleries, I'm already ahead of my best month last year, and still have days to go to the end of the month. Even the old ways are helping my bottom line.

The guy (cfoxs30) who began that thread, and who has the quarter million in their account, is still alive and posting. But his friend, Danny Gilbert, the owner of templedupoker.com, who evidently also had a lot of money locked in ePassporte did shoot himself, and that thread starter says it was at least in part due to the problems caused by ePassporte and Danny not being able to get his money to pay other people.

I get the feeling the conversation went something like:

Quote:
9/2 Chris Mallick, Epassporte: Hey, you had some wind yesterday. We can't access our accounts, we have a lot of people wondering, will the accounts be turned back on?
9/2 SKNANB, Yes, we had a hurricane yesterday or we would have shut you off on 9/1. Maybe.

9/10, CM, Epassporte: Are we going to get the money back?
9/10 SKNANB: Maybe. Check back next week.

9/17, CM, Epassporte: Any word on the money?
9/17, SKNANB: Maybe. Check back next week.

9/23, CM, Epassporte: Any word on the money?
9/23, SKNANB: You aren't getting it.
9/23, CM, Epassporte: Ok, hey, did you see my movie?
9/23, SKNANB: I must have missed it, how long was it in the theaters?

That's nice to hear. Fingers crossed.

It would be nice if epass recovered, tho that seems less likely.

maybe it end with happy end

but in that case definitively the epassporte will be the victim,
looks like somebody whant just shut down them and get success in this matter

because without visa or MC they lose most of customers

Yeah, in Shap's thread at the Zoo there's over 3 million dollars that people want to get out of that bank. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. If I hadn't already gotten mine out I'd get every $200 increment I could asap.

Where are you seeing that $200?

Not in the message that the bank posted.

BTW, I see that PayPal may getting back into the adult game.

ps. With PayPal in the game, there won't be much use for ICMs "discreet trusted processor"!

This just came in

Quote:
Dear Account Holder:

It is with great regret we inform you that ePassporte must close its doors due to a lack of revenue and circumstances beyond our control.

Effective immediately, the call center, ePassporte's sales and marketing team and risk management staff will no longer be available.A small group will remain to organize wallet requests and help disburse funds. On the ePassporte website, in the near future, wallet holders will be provided further information on what is needed to obtain your funds. This will mainly be a process to protect wallet holder funds from fraud. We expect this will be a simplified process, and as we receive the necessary information, our small remaining staff will process requests as quickly as they can. Please direct your wallet questions, concerns and requests to walletrequest@ePassporte.com.

For those of you with funds on your Visa Accounts, we are informed that St. Kitts Bank is working on a plan to provide everyone with full access to their funds through their Visa Electron Cards or by bank wire transfers and will inform you accordingly.

We appreciate your support for the ePassporte program over the past 7 years and deeply regret we must close our doors at this difficult time.

Sincerely,

ePassporte.com
Bye Bye Epassporte...
I just hope another one could step up and make the life of countless webmasters easier.

Yep, just saw the same message and put in for a transfer of what was left in my wallet account.

Even thou I never really trusted them they did make it easy to transfer small fund amounts, like pa's or content purchases.

Just hope the sponsors can get their heads together to use another common payment source. At the moment they seem to be all rushing to use different ones most of which I've never heard of!

I'm wondering if it might be better to spread it out a little so when something this major happens to someone next time, it doesn't seem so much like the end of the world.

Glad I got my money out. I had about a G sitting there from one sponsor I actively promoted and got paid epassport. I just had the wallet account. Glad I never got the visa side one. I had been thinking about it as of late too because of the money that was building up. Yah procrastination. lol.

Im thankful I didnt rely on them heavily. They were sometimes convenient but I do feel for those that put all their funds in epass. Hope the $ comes to them without too much effort.

YOU!? I lost 84 cents! I'm FUCKING FURIOUS.

Seriously I saw this shit coming way back when I was having problems transferring simple amounts to my bank account and everyone on GFY was sucking MICHEAL's cock and telling me to shut up and suck it up!

This is so overdue it's not even sort of funny.

I spent 3 bucks every time just to transfer every single min transaction from every sponsor who actually pays whenever I could do it just to keep this shit from happening to me.

I'm not gloating, but I have to say I told EVERYONE SO!

looks not bad :

As previously advised, SKNANB has been working diligently to restore prepaid cardholders' ability to access their Visa card funds.

Thursday, October 7th, 2010 is the confirmed date that the majority of cardholders will be able to access the funds on their Visa Card using their existing virtual card and/or physical card(s), without providing SKNANB further information.

So......has anyone gotten any money out?

I tried both of my cards and one says "insufficient funds" and the other says "Please contact the financial institution for more information"

Pretty much what I expected.

I must be in that "Small percentage" who needs to supply "additional information" before I can get my money out.
