Useless Warrior - a lot of those routers have their own software including firewalls that are acting on the TCP/IP transactions - definitely if you have the ability it is good to drop the router out of the loop for a while and do direct networking
 Especially if any other computers are connected through the router that might have their share of spyware and are connected using DHCP |
