I use ImageReady CS using its droplets to make thumbs and all the other sizes too.
http://www.cleoslinks.com/crap/my_Im...y_droplets.zip
You need to have Adobe ImageReady CS which comes with Photoshop CS to use these.

Here is a list of more apps to make thumbnails.
http://www.versiontracker.com/php/se...acosx&x=13&y=8

iPhoto which is in your applications folder will also make thumbnails but wouldn't be my first choice.

More useful Mac stuff.

Having multiple clipboards to use while coping and pasting info/graphics/code/description/urls/etc. is very helpful.
CopyPaste

Batch renaming of files is also most helpful.
ABetterFinderRename

Batch watermarking images is another must have for me.
iWatermark

Knowing what time it is for other list owners can be helpful at times.

Cleo, not to be mean but Mac's are not as invulnerable as some people think: Mac Hole Has Users, Hackers Abuzz
And to be honest, i gave up on my Mac after two weeks of desparetly seeking right click.
so definetely i am not a mac person.

all you have to do is buy a mouse with a right click and plug it in

I got a new G4 laptop yesterday courtesy of ARS

I told my neice I would get her one for xmas if she did good in school but she's been in a lot of trouble lately so her mother doesnt want her getting anything big

so I guess I will be keeping it

this thing is just so smooth and sweet
its like driving a new caddi

Macs have a right mouse click but you do need to pickup a mouse with more then two buttons. I use a Kensington Iridio myself. If you don't want to use a two button mouse then the Control key on your keyboard is your right mouse click.

That Wired article was for a piece of malware not a virus. The loophole has been since closed by Apple. There has never been a Mac OS X virus or worm even after years of virus writers trying to find a way to write one.

Anyway everyone should use what they like. I use a Mac because I just want to get my work done without having to mess with my computer.

Click and drag sideways on the Dock's divider line and you can resize it. Right mouse click on it and a menu will come up with more choices.

Personally I like mine on the left side of my screen. If you put your hard drive in the Dock then you can navigate it by right mouse clicking on its icon in the Dock.

Thanks Cleo and Tommy for putting me back in my row . And sorry for the marks of your niece, Tommy. Still for now, I'll leave the mac to my girlfriend and stick to use a PC.

One thing that Macs have that PCs do not is Labels. With files and folders that can't be moved or renamed, like the stuff that makes up a web site, they are the only way to label something.

Labels are how I keep track of my work in progress, what needs to be submitted, what has been submitted, what pics I've used, etc.

That's a great thread.. hope some of them works on my old beige G3 desktop

I am making the thumbs in photoshop by hand... cropping properly cannot be automatized.

Here is my addition
http://simplethumbs.de/ free and nice.

I am using sometimes Photopage, don't like Phototimesaviour and my all time favorite is Webpics.. hope I find it. Here you go

That batch process images app just crashed my mac and it took some time to get back

Btw webpics also adds watermark to the images.

For TGP submissions, I generally use Photoshop 7's Automate tool to make web galleries - and I've setup that tool to the preferences that I like for TGP Galleries.

I then junk the photoshop created HTML and just use the re-sized & optimized thumbs and fullsize images to drop into my gallery templates.

I downloaded the software Cleo's references and will be trying that out as well - lots of good stuff out there for mac users.

I have a Mac G4 Laptop and a Dual G4 Desktop - great machines for the adult business - I just wish Advanced Submitter ran on them
